This article explains the steps to install jamovi on MAC OSX using homebrew cask

  • App Name – jamovi
  • App Version – 1.1.9.0
  • App url – https://www.jamovi.org/
  • App dmg file – packagedmglink
  • App appcast link – https://www.macupdater.net/cgi-bin/extract_text/extract_text_split_easy.cgi?url=https://www.jamovi.org/download.html&splitter_1=macos.dmg&index_1=0&splitter_2=download-button&index_2=-1

Steps To Install jamovi

  • Open Spotlight search using “command + space” button and type “Terminal“. Then press “return/enter” key. This will open terminal.

  • Run the following command in terminal to install brew cask

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null

    Install brew cask on mac

  • Now install jamovi with the following command

    brew install --cask jamovi

  • jamovi is installed now and ready to use!
