This article explains the steps to install Unity Windows (Mono) Build Support on MAC OSX using homebrew cask

  • App Name – Unity Windows (Mono) Build Support
  • App Version – 2019.3.12f1,84b23722532d
  • App url – https://unity3d.com/unity/
  • App dmg file – packagedmglink
  • App appcast link – https://public-cdn.cloud.unity3d.com/hub/prod/releases-darwin.json

Steps To Install Unity Windows (Mono) Build Support

  • Open Spotlight search using “command + space” button and type “Terminal“. Then press “return/enter” key. This will open terminal.

  • Run the following command in terminal to install brew cask

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null

    Install brew cask on mac

  • Now install Unity Windows (Mono) Build Support with the following command

    brew install --cask unity-windows-support-for-editor

  • Unity Windows (Mono) Build Support is installed now and ready to use!
