Easy steps to install eccodes package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – eccodes
What is eccodes – Not Available for eccodes
Use of eccodes – Decode and encode messages in the GRIB 1/2 and BUFR 3/4 formats
URL – https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/ECC

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install eccodes using brew 
    brew install eccodes

eccodes is ready to use now!
