Easy steps to install mafft package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – mafft
What is mafft – Not Available for mafft
Use of mafft – Multiple alignments with fast Fourier transforms
URL – https://mafft.cbrc.jp/alignment/software/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install mafft using brew 
    brew install mafft

mafft  is ready to use now!
