Easy steps to install petsc package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – petsc
What is petsc – Not Available for petsc
Use of petsc – Portable, Extensible Toolkit for Scientific Computation (real)
URL – https://www.mcs.anl.gov/petsc/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install petsc using brew 
    brew install petsc

petsc  is ready to use now!
