Easy steps to install picard-tools package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – picard-tools
What is picard-tools – Not Available for picard-tools
Use of picard-tools – Tools for manipulating HTS data and formats
URL – https://broadinstitute.github.io/picard/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install picard-tools using brew 
    brew install picard-tools

picard-tools  is ready to use now!
