This article explains the steps to install Data Rescue 5 on MAC OSX using homebrew cask

  • App Name – Data Rescue 5
  • App Version – 5.0.11
  • App url – https://www.prosofteng.com/data-rescue-recovery-software/
  • App dmg file – packagedmglink
  • App appcast link – https://www.prosofteng.com/resources/dr5/dr5_updates_mac.xml

Steps To Install Data Rescue 5

  • Open Spotlight search using “command + space” button and type “Terminal“. Then press “return/enter” key. This will open terminal.

  • Run the following command in terminal to install brew cask

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null

    Install brew cask on mac

  • Now install Data Rescue 5 with the following command

    brew install --cask data-rescue

  • Data Rescue 5 is installed now and ready to use!
