This article explains the steps to install Aspera Connect on MAC OSX using homebrew cask

  • App Name – Aspera Connect
  • App Version – 3.9.9.177872
  • App url – https://asperasoft.com/software/transfer-clients/connect-web-browser-plug-in/
  • App dmg file – packagedmglink
  • App appcast link – https://downloads.asperasoft.com/en/documentation/8

Steps To Install Aspera Connect

  • Open Spotlight search using “command + space” button and type “Terminal“. Then press “return/enter” key. This will open terminal.

  • Run the following command in terminal to install brew cask

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null

    Install brew cask on mac

  • Now install Aspera Connect with the following command

    brew install --cask aspera-connect

  • Aspera Connect is installed now and ready to use!
