Easy steps to install cfn-format package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – cfn-format
What is cfn-format – Not Available for cfn-format
Use of cfn-format – Command-line tool for formatting AWS CloudFormation templates
URL – https://github.com/aws-cloudformation/rain

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install cfn-format using brew 
    brew install cfn-format

cfn-format is ready to use now!
