Easy steps to install clang-format@8 package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – clang-format@8
What is clang-format@8 – Not Available for clang-format@8
Use of clang-format@8 – Formatting tools for C, C++, Obj-C, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
URL – https://clang.llvm.org/docs/ClangFormat.html

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install clang-format@8 using brew 
    brew install clang-format@8

clang-format@8 is ready to use now!
