Easy steps to install device-mapper package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – device-mapper
What is device-mapper – Not Available for device-mapper
Use of device-mapper – Userspace library and tools for logical volume management
URL – https://sourceware.org/dm

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install device-mapper using brew 
    brew install device-mapper

device-mapper is ready to use now!
