Easy steps to install git-filter-repo package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – git-filter-repo
What is git-filter-repo – Not Available for git-filter-repo
Use of git-filter-repo – Quickly rewrite git repository history
URL – https://github.com/newren/git-filter-repo

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install git-filter-repo using brew 
    brew install git-filter-repo

git-filter-repo is ready to use now!
