Easy steps to install heppdt2 package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – heppdt2
What is heppdt2 – Not Available for heppdt2
Use of heppdt2 – Translation for particle ID’s to and from various MC generators and PDG standard
URL – https://cdcvs.fnal.gov/redmine/projects/heppdt/wiki

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install heppdt2 using brew 
    brew install heppdt2

heppdt2 is ready to use now!
