Easy steps to install hmmer package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – hmmer
What is hmmer – Not Available for hmmer
Use of hmmer – Build profile HMMs and scan against sequence databases
URL – http://hmmer.org/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install hmmer using brew 
    brew install hmmer

hmmer is ready to use now!
