Easy steps to install htslib package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – htslib
What is htslib – Not Available for htslib
Use of htslib – C library for high-throughput sequencing data formats
URL – https://www.htslib.org/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing <command+space>. Type terminal and hit Enter key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install htslib using brew 
    brew install htslib

htslib is ready to use now!
