This article explains the steps to install Keybase on MAC OSX using homebrew cask

  • App Name – Keybase
  • App Version – 5.4.2-20200424204055,7b0bbf1e3c
  • App url – https://keybase.io/
  • App dmg file – packagedmglink
  • App appcast link – https://prerelease.keybase.io/update-darwin-prod-v2.json

Steps To Install Keybase

  • Open Spotlight search using “command + space” button and type “Terminal“. Then press “return/enter” key. This will open terminal.

  • Run the following command in terminal to install brew cask

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null

    Install brew cask on mac

  • Now install Keybase with the following command

    brew install --cask keybase

  • Keybase is installed now and ready to use!
