Easy steps to install maxima package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – maxima
What is maxima – Not Available for maxima
Use of maxima – Computer algebra system
URL – https://maxima.sourceforge.io/

Installation Steps:

1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.



2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null



3. Install maxima using brew

   brew install maxima

maxima  is ready to use now!
