Easy steps to install mmseqs2 package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – mmseqs2
What is mmseqs2 – Not Available for mmseqs2
Use of mmseqs2 – Software suite for very fast sequence search and clustering

Installation Steps:

1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.



2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null



3. Install mmseqs2 using brew

   brew install mmseqs2

mmseqs2  is ready to use now!
