Easy steps to install openfast package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – openfast
What is openfast – Not Available for openfast
Use of openfast – NREL-supported OpenFAST whole-turbine simulation code
URL – https://openfast.readthedocs.io

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install openfast using brew 
    brew install openfast

openfast  is ready to use now!
