Easy steps to install rav1e package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – rav1e
What is rav1e – Not Available for rav1e
Use of rav1e – Fastest and safest AV1 video encoder
URL – https://github.com/xiph/rav1e

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install rav1e using brew 
    brew install rav1e

rav1e  is ready to use now!
