Easy steps to install spades package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – spades
What is spades – Not Available for spades
Use of spades – De novo genome sequence assembly
URL – https://cab.spbu.ru/software/spades/

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install spades using brew 
    brew install spades

spades  is ready to use now!
