Easy steps to install xinput package on Mac

Package Information:

Application Name – xinput
What is xinput – Not Available for xinput
Use of xinput – Utility to configure and test X input devices
URL – https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/app/xinput

Installation Steps:

  1. Open Terminal using Spotlight search by pressing  <command+space>. Type terminal and hit  Enter  key.

    2. spotlight search terminal

  2. Now, run following command to install homebrew (brew)

    3. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null

  3. Install xinput using brew 
    brew install xinput

xinput  is ready to use now!
